Perfect Powder on President's Day

(Thought I'd use some alliteration in my post title, haha) Yesterday we went skiing at Powder Mountain for the holiday. It was a bit crowded, but still a lot of fun.

Check out the amazing view from the top of the chairlift:

"Oh for stink sake!"

This blog title is what Dave said when we got a call at 1 am from Alex. Dave had to go rescue Al boy who had gotten stuck and couldn't make it up the hill because of all the snow we got during the night. We have well over a foot this morning and it is snowing "like a crazy monkey" outside even as I type this. I just took these two pictures a minute ago.

Hey, it's February, AND we live in Utah.

Enjoying the Grandkidlets

All of the grandkids, and their parents, came over last night. We were lovin' it. Lily found these old glasses in the playroom and had to put them on Olivia.

Logan enjoyed my homemade raspberry ice cream, no doubt!

Argh, I can't stand not being able to edit my photos on Picassa anymore.

Cute suits

When we went to the boat show I was dazzled by these cute swimming suits:

Now, I'm not getting paid for advertising for them, but I really liked how these tankinis looked extra long. And not only is "modest the hottest" but I just feel so much more comfy in something that has no chance of showing my" not so flat abs". So I took a photo of the tag, which shows the site where these cute suits can be purchased: www.hapari.com

The Birthday Boy and Boats

I asked Dave about a month ago what he wanted to do for his birthday. Without hesitation he said, "the boat show!" So this past Friday, his birthday, that is where we went. (Look at how happy he is sitting in the captain's chair on this boat) We went with our bff's, Scott and Stephanie, and with Ash and Jud. When Scott, Dave and Jud talk about boats, horsepower, etc, etc, their eyes light up just like little kids do. Ashley, Stephanie and I got more excited about the swimming suit display, which I am going to do another post about because we saw the cutest ones ever there.

I was a day late giving Dave his breakfast in bed. Yikes his eye looks like a lazer about to kill someone. I can't get picassa to edit photos anymore. (Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?)

Here is the birthday boy with his blondie brownies that Holly made and the red velvet cake I bought at Costco. In my defense I did make homemade vanilla ice cream to go with it.
Happy Birthday to my BFF of all time! Love him.

Cookie Day 2011

This is my newest Valentine decoration. I really like decorated plates these days. And although I no longer teach school I can't stop myself from decorating for every holiday.

Two days ago we had our annual Valentine sugar cookie baking day. We missed having Steph with us.

We were kind of lazy this year. We slapped on the frosting and let Lily sprinkle away. But the taste was every bit as good as in years past.

Olivia and Logan napped. James and Jack were
too much into watching Polar Express (??? I know!) to be
bothered with cookie making.

The kids were lined up in the locker room ready to go home after a very fun afternoon.
