Saturday

Dave and I went to watch Lily and Jack each play a game of soccer after our morning run yesterday.

Mitt was such a sweetie.  He sat in stroller, clutching a ball while he watched Jack play.

Later that evening we met up with Holly and Ashley in Farmington Station for dinner.  The two of them had a girls shopping day without their kids.  So we met them at Settabello.  Then we all went to watch Leah at her dance recital.  I think the last time just the four of us did something was when we took them to Paris for their Senior Trip. I think that was about 13 years ago.

Sunday Evening at Ashley and Jud's

Ashley and Jud invited everyone over to hang out at their house last Sunday evening.  It was such a pleasant evening that we all sat outside on their driveway so the kids could get their wiggles out.

Jud pulled out his wheelbarrow to give Briggy a ride.

Well, it was like flies to flypaper.

It got crazier and crazier.

After this round, they turned a corner and spilled out, onto the grass at least.

When Dave and I got in our car to go home we found these two handsome stowaways in the backseat.  They had even done up their seatbelts.  So we took them with us for a few minutes.

House updates again

It's pretty fun watching the progress of our house being built.

And here we have the finished product:

Happy 34th Anniversary, Darling

To celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary we took a quick little trip down to St George.

We got there late that first night, but the next morning we decided to take a little drive over to Pine Valley as we had never been there before.  We were curious to see what it was like.

We were impressed.  It was beautiful.  Many St. George residents have cabins here because it is a great place to escape the summer heat.

The Pine Valley LDS Chapel is very historic.

We tried out our new "selfie stick" to take our own photo.  Yes!  We are excited to not have to be at the mercy of strangers to take our picture if we are together on a trip somewhere.

Yay again for the selfie stick.

After driving the hour back to St George we went to Freddy's.  They don't have one of these where we live so we love to eat here when we come down.

Then we went for a lovely stroll along the Virgin River.

That afternoon it was "living the dream" around the pool.  (Thank you Scott and Amber for your generosity)

We had dinner that night at Benja Thai.

Our last morning we got up early and went on a ten mile run.  Then we drove to Swig for our nutritious breakfast.  (Not)

It was back at the pool for a bit more reading and relaxing before driving back up to North Ogden.

We stopped at Mike and Debbie's on the way back home.  They moved to Ephraim but we had never been to see their house until this trip.

We had a great little anniversary getaway.

The pond

We are really going to miss the little pond next to our town house when we move.

Mother duck started out with 7 babies.

But gradually as the days went on there were less and less.  Until there were none.  There are too many predators out there.  Sad.

We had a nice April snow storm.  Typical Spring in Utah weather.

I wonder if the geese regret that they didn't migrate this winter.

I took these next two pictures on one of my morning runs.

The goslings have fared better than the ducklings and are so far still alive.

Four pelicans showed up on the pond one day.

Yes, we will surely miss this pond when we move to our new house.
