Do you swim in a pool, to keep yourself cool?
The weather was in the 90s all last week. Hot, hot, hot.

Creative Lily gathered the leaves that had blown into the pool. She put them in this pail with water and said they were her pet sea horses.
Jack and Lil "fetching a pail of water".

The pail got used in many ways. James thought it made a funny hat.
Why does Japanese food make me so happy?
Last Saturday Dave and I had just stopped at the grocery store to get a few things after going on a 24 mile bike ride. Kathleen called Dave's cell phone to ask what the name of our favorite Japanese restaurant was. As he and I gushed about Tona on 25th street, she invited us to come with her, Jack, Lisa and Dalena. No brainer. We were sweaty and had to bring our milk and lettuce into the restaurant with us since there wasn't time to go home. Luckily I had a hat to cover my sweaty helmet head.
I can only think of two, maybe three events that would keep me from Japanese food, especially at Tona.
1- a birth, 2- a death, and 3- a marriage (depending on who was getting married)
Dalena got this, called, The Green Globe, filled with crab, spicy tuna and pure goodness. I am going to try that for sure some time. Be still my heart (and stomach).
