Julie's 54th birthday

I had a wonderful birthday!  That morning Holls and Ash made me brunch.  We ate fruit and yogurt parfaits and muffins - out on Holly's deck.

Chubby babies in overalls are the best.

These two like to be wherever their mommies are.

Then Ashley dropped me off at the train station.  Dave picked me up in Salt Lake and we drove down to St George for more birthday celebrating.

We ate Thai food at Benjas - Drunken Noodles and Massaman Curry.  MMMM

We then went to Tuacahn to watch their production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  (Dave's shirt does not look like that in real life - weird "camera optical illusion with a striped shirt", I guess)

The next morning we went on a bike ride along the Virgin River.

Then we enjoyed the pool at Scott and Amber's condo.

Poolside, with a book, is my kinda life.

Before driving home that afternoon we had lunch at Freddy's, my new favorite fast food place of all time.  The frozen chocolate custard was the bomb.

I am a spoiled girl.  Thanks to everyone, especially my best friend Dave, for making it a wonderful birthday!

Ogden temple open house

Steph and I were able to quickly go to the Ogden LDS Temple open house before she had to leave to go back to Phoenix.

It is such a beautiful temple.  I can't wait until it is dedicated!

Over the weekend Steph met up with Shad's birth mother.  They were able to get a picture of Shad with his two birth brothers, too.  Three gorgeous little boys!

I'm so glad Steph, Shad and Jared will be in Phoenix this year.  We plan on seeing them as often as we possibly can.  After having them in Michigan for the last four years we just couldn't see them as often as we all would have liked.

Dave was at work when Steph and I went to the temple open house, so Dave and I went again a few nights later so he could see it, too!

The Niederhauser Family Reunion 2014

It was our turn to host the reunion this year.  We decided to hold it in our backyard.

These two are always begging me to take pictures of them as they jump into the pool.

It was nice and shady, but that doesn't always make for the best photos.  Oh well.

After dinner and swimming we played some games.

Logan is getting pretty good and back flips into the pool.

Ryan did a great one as well.

Briggy is cute even when he is sad.

Water balloon volleyball.

We got in a big circle and played "Niederhauser Family Trivia" and then the "Name Game"

This guy didn't wind down until well after  his bedtime.

We ended the evening with a movie under the stars.  It turned out to be a really fun reunion.

Steph and Shad come for a visit

Steph and Shad flew into the Ogden airport.  It was so nice to have them come hang out with us for a whole week.  We loved every minute of it.

I wish cold cereal made me as happy as it does Shad.

This guy is almost always smiling.  You can tell he is so happy and well adjusted.

I finally got a picture of me with ALL eight of my grandkids.  Heaven.

We had some nice, relaxing visiting days.

Even though Mitt just met his Aunt Steph, you can tell he really loves her.

It rained and rained but it didn't bother these guys.

I guess if you are already wet it doesn't really matter.

These three wanted to watch tv more than swim.

Grandpa loves these handsome boys.

Shad makes a cute puppy after his bath.

We drove up to Logan to take Andrew his scooter.  I just had to snap a pic of the mountains in Willard as the sun was reflecting off of the peaks.

Mitt looks so much like Dave's dad in this photo.

Shad loves his great grandpa Grose.
