The title of this blog means "Maui is the best" in Hawaiian. And, yes, it is. At least it is to me. (I have been to the 4 main islands in Hawaii and Maui is my favorite.)
Dave took me here to celebrate (a month early) our 30th anniversary. Our first day was mostly spent traveling.

We stayed at these cottages that were part of a resort with a hotel tower as well as the cottages. They were like a 4-plex. We were on the ground floor, right behind Dave in the photo below.

We loved the grounds at this resort.

Our cottage bordered a golf course. This is me, sitting on our patio, with the golf course behind me.

One of the pools. There were just the bushes separating it from the beach.

This bird was eating bugs out of the bushes.

The resort had an "Old Hawaii" feel to it.

The beach was steps away from the resort.

We climbed to the top of this hill and saw a whale just off shore.

Here is a view of our resort from the hill.

I went a little crazy taking nature shots. I hadn't seen flowers for months. I'm also a sucker for palm trees. Love them!

Even the ice machines had that Aloha spirit to them.

Gotta love the pineapple lamp posts.
Tiki torches were lit each evening.

Yep, it was going to be a good vacation. I could tell from the moment we arrived.
