We had been a little bit sad because our first two camping trips to the Uintas had been canceled due to the amount of snow still in the mountains there. So we were thrilled when Scott told us he was going up to the Uintas (No, I am not spelling it wrong. There isn't an "h" at the end of this mountain range) and that he would find us a spot to camp by him. We all ended up at Mirror Lake, one of our favorites.
We are generally the "catch and release" kind of fishermen. Rather than the "hook 'em and cook 'em" type.
We decided to find our perfect Christmas tree, even though we couldn't really cut one down. (I think I liked Dave's choice better than my own) The entire hike had that "Christmasy" pine smell. Ahhhh. I wish I could attach the heavenly fragrance to my post. (A scratch and sniff for the monitor, haha)
After our hike, our feet were killing us. So we drove 10 minutes over to Provo Falls.
We all ate at Dick's cafe in Kamas before heading the rest of the way home. Yay for camping!
