Back to real life . . .

The second half of August was a very emotional one for me.  As things fell through on the sale of our former home in Pleasant View, we ended up moving out of our apartment in Salt Lake City and back to PV.  The great part of all of this is that we are back near our family.  But I am having a little grieving moment about having to leave the city.

A few of the things I will miss:

 The view from our balcony.

Walking down the hall to throw out our rubbish.

Being within walking distance of the temple, family history center, and great shopping. I loved my 5 minute walk to the grocery store. We walked to all kinds of fun events downtown as well.

Walking to the most wonderful little eateries.

My morning runs along South temple and 1st Avenue.

Never having to weed "my gardens", haha.(Also never having to mow the lawn or shovel snow)

The 5 minute walk to "church" at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

We will still be serving in the homeless branch.  It will just be an hour commute instead.
I know there is a reason for everything and although I'm sad, I'm also happy about being able to spend so much more time with the fam.  So, it's all good, just an adjustment again.  Urban life was fun while it lasted.  Back to suburbia now.
