A few weeks ago I went with Dave on his business trip to Florida. He had a conference in Jacksonville.
Our hotel was right on the river and the pool was on the roof. I took this picture from the roof. I loved all of the bridges I could see from there.
We jogged the next morning along the riverfront.
We ate al fresco at an Irish pub.
Now, that thar, is some fish and chips.
While Dave was in his conference one of the days, I went to the Cummer Museum. They were having a special exhibition of Impressionist paintings. My lucky day! I loved the Monet's, Renoir's, Cassatt, etc. that they had. Of course, no photography was allowed. But they also had a garden out back and yes, I could take pictures there. I loved the Spanish Moss hanging from this huge oak tree.
You can see the river through the archways. Beautiful!
After several days, Dave's conference was over. We headed over to the beach across this cool bridge.
Yay! The Atlantic Ocean!
The water was already so warm, even for May. I forgot how cold the Pacific Ocean is after wading right out into the Atlantic without even having to "get used to it."
And what pretty shells were lying all over the place.
I kind of liked the red life guard stand.
I love this picture of Dave. He looks like such a stud with his hair blowing in the breeze.
