Blessed on a bicycle

So about a month ago we did a Saturday morning ride along the Ogden/Weber River Parkway.
It was a beautiful early Autumn morning.

We had gone probably 11 miles when I noticed my phone was gone.  It had fallen off of the handlebar mount shortly after I had taken this photo of Dave.

So we back tracked along, with Dave using his Find My Friends app.  Meanwhile, I sneaked off the trail and knelt down to say a prayer that I could find it.

After I got up from my prayer I told Dave he needed to call my phone.  He did and someone answered and told me that had found it on the trail.  So we met up with him and got it back.  I'm so thankful for honest people and for an answer to my prayer.  It was absolutely not a coincidence.  I know Heavenly Father cares about us, even in the little things in our lives.

A fun part of this ride was running into Jeff and Fran (bro and sis in law) on the trail.

At mile 30 we were close to being back to where we started.  Of course, we had to stop at Kneaders since its practically right on the trail.  Salads and smoothies were just what we needed at that point.

It ended up being about a 32 mile ride. I can't wait to do it again - minus the lost phone part.
