Now one of my favorite parts of 2013 so far. Stephanie and Jared came to visit us for Christmas and left a week later with a new baby. They named him Shad, which means "rescued" in Hebrew. Everyone was so generous. The sweet little guy didn't have much when they first got him.
They canceled their flights, rented an SUV, loaded it to the brim with all of Shad's new stuff, signed final adoption papers and headed out the next day. I think they were still in shock as they drove off.
I love this new grandson so very, very much. Everyone agrees he has the most amazing spirit. You look into his eyes and just feel it. We are all very blessed to have him in our lives now and forever.
