Our Anniversary Trip - Part 1 - South Beach Miami

To celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary we took a little trip to Florida and then on a short cruise to the Bahamas.

When we arrived at our hotel, after flying most of the day, we went to our room and saw this from the window:

We said, yeah, this will work. hahaha.  Our hotel was called the Richmond.  It was right on the beach.  You can see the path from the pool that leads out to the beach.  I loved that it was an art deco building.  The bathroom was blue and pink.  And our room had this very retro clock in it, which was pretty cool.

Here is Dave on the little path that leads from the hotel to the ocean.

Since it was early evening when we got there on Thursday we didn't actually swim that night but I just had to take a walk along the beach.  The water was warm.

We ate dinner on Lincoln Road in South Beach at one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Rosinella. I love that we can eat outdoors and it is pretty romantic, even in the daytime.  We have eaten here several times over the years.   The tiramisu is the best we've had anywhere.

We did a bit of shopping that evening.  The next morning we went for a run along the beach.

Since our cruise wasn't leaving until the afternoon we did some swimming in the pool and the ocean.

Then we showered and headed over to the port to check in for our cruise.
