Cali Trip- Part one

Back in December we decided to trade our time-share in Palm Springs for one in San Diego.  We checked with all of our kids and everyone came to an agreement of when it would be good for them to go.  Steph and Jared weren't sure of Jared's school break at that time but thought it would work for them to go the week we decided in May.  As it turned out, his break was the week before and we weren't able to exchange our week for another one.  So it was sad that they couldn't join us, but the rest of the family were all able to come with us.  Andrew's girlfriend Megan also came with us.

The first day we only drove as far as Vegas.  We all stayed at the same hotel and enjoyed the pool and warm weather that afternoon and evening.

The next day we drove the rest of the way.  Holly and Cody split off and went to stay in Anaheim for the next 4 days.  The five of us in our car - Alex, Andrew, Megan, Dave and I - took a small detour to Los Angeles on the way down.  We wanted to eat lunch in Koreatown.  We ate at Namsan and the boys were ecstatic.  I have to say, it was amazing food.

We even had pot bean su for dessert.

Then we drove to the time-share we ended up getting - The Lawrence Welk Resort in Escondido.  We had originally wanted to stay in a condo on the coast.  But we actually really liked where we ended up.
