Gone Fishin'

We went one last time up to Washington Lake.  The water had gone down so much we hardly recognized it.  Usually the water is where these black things are.  We had to walk forever just to launch the canoe.

Dave and I went for a bike/hike adventure one morning.  We biked 30 minutes to a trail, then hiked an hour and a half and then biked back for 30 more minutes.

This is the first lake we hiked to - Haystack Lake.

We also hiked over to Shadow Lake.

We used to be able to canoe from Washington Lake to Tail Lake through an inlet.  It was all dried up so we had to walk over to Tail Lake.  Lame.

We always have great luck fishing at Tail Lake, so it was worth it.

Back at camp it was playdough time.  Ash, Jud and their boys were at the campsite right next to ours.

The boys brought their bikes.

James is very proud of the Darth Vader bike that Jud fixed up for him:

Dave, Alex and I took a little hike up to Wall Lake.

It used to be a family tradition to jump off of these cliffs.  Steph was usually the first one to jump off.

There were hundreds of new little pine tree saplings along the hike.  They smelled so wonderful.

That night the boys watched a movie,

while the rest of us played games.

Logie enjoyed sticks and dirt.

James was having more fun reading his Star Wars book.

Jud took Logan on their tandem.

This is Ash and Jud's fifth wheel and truck at their campsite.

This is ours, which was right next to them.

We all set off one morning for a hiking/fishing adventure.

We went across five of these little foot bridges.

We knew if we took everyone to Tail Lake they would be bound to catch a fish there.

James caught his first fish very quickly:

Here is  Logan's first fish.

Later that afternoon it rained for awhile.  I took this picture looking out of our trailer window at the meadow next to us.  We saw two deer here earlier in the day.

When it didn't seem like the weather was going to let up we decided to head home since we were going to be leaving later that night anyway.  Once again, we made some great memories.
