We decided, at the last minute practically, to go camping at North Fork on Friday night. We threw some food and clothes in the trailer and headed up the North Ogden Divide. 20 to 30 minutes later we pulled into a campsite. It was getting dark and it was raining so we watched a movie in our trailer that night.
The next morning we could fully appreciate our gorgeous campsite. It was right next to the river/stream/creek/crick(if you are from rural Utah).
The thing I love about North Fork is it seems kind of like the Pacific Northwest. It is very green and lush. There were even patches of ferns, which you don't often see in the desert climate of Utah.
The picnic table in our campsite overlooked the stream.
This little guy was busy running back and forth across the road.
We started out the morning (after a great breakfast of eggs with bacon and tomatoes, and blueberry scones with lemon curd) with a hike to a waterfall.
I am always asking Dave to stop so I can get a shot of wildflowers. He is used to it.
Here is the waterfall. Not quite Victoria Falls or Niagra. Ha!
I had to zoom in to even really see the water flowing down the cliff.
Coming down from the hike I had to slide on my bottom in some parts because it was so steep. My hiney got a bit muddy.
After getting back to the trailer we got our bikes and went for a ride. It was a difficult ride with mostly uphill climbs.
So we rewarded ourselves afterwards, back at camp, with ice cream bars , while we sat near the river/stream/creek/crick.
We were back home in the early afternoon. It was a quick, enjoyable little trip.

I love that you and Dad are so active and have the opportunity to see the beauty of Utah practically every weekend! A little jealous I must admit, but you are in a different phase of your lives, obviously. ;) Love you guys!
