Korea Trip 2012 - Part 3

We could either laugh or cry about the horrible hotel we stayed in for four nights in Seoul.  We chose to laugh.  We booked it online.  It was even worse than the Arriva hotel we stayed at in London a couple of years ago.  And that is saying something.

Here was the boys' room.  It's a good thing Andrew likes cats.  :)

I don't miss "Craig" or the closet, which consisted of the hanger you see on the wall.  Ha!

We set out the next morning to explore Alex's mission areas.  We crossed this bridge several times that day.

There are Yogurt Ladies everywhere in Korea.  They all wear this outfit and push carts around selling yogurt.  I had a banana yogurt drink.  It was good, you bet.

This is a music school Alex used to pass by almost everyday.

This is one of the ward buildings where Alex used to go to church.

There is a really huge  park called, "Children's Park".

The park is so big.  There is a zoo there.  The animals were all so active the morning we were there.  The vulture in the top middle picture is eating his food out of the middle of the fake zebra.  Nasty.

We ate at the same toast place that Alex had eaten at many times on his mission.

We knocked on the door of one of the apartments where he used to live.  The Elder that opened the door is the same kid that Andrew helped prepare for a mission in Busan and now he is living in the same place Alex used to.  It was a fun surprise for Andrew and he to see each other again.

We did a bit of shopping that afternoon.  Andrew had completely worn out his shoes on his mission.  He was wearing shoes where the back of one was completely missing.  So we went in this store which was the biggest shoe store I have ever been in.  There were literally thousands of shoes.

I got myself a pair as well.

That evening we ate dinner with Kim SuJean, her husband who is the Bishop, and their 5 children.  Alex got to know them really well on his mission.  They were so good to us and the dinner was delicious.
