Korea Trip 2012 - Part 5

We checked out of our creepy motel.

Then we dropped off Andrew's ginormous luggage at the Seoul mission office (Alex's mission office) for them to watch for us for the next 4 days so we wouldn't have to lug it all around.

We toured the ancient Presidential Palace in Seoul.  It was used for centuries until the Japanese destroyed it.  It has only recently been restored.

The throne of former kings of Korea.

The Koreans love to hike.  But they can only go partway up this mountain because there are still landmines from the Korean War.  The blue roof is where the current President of South Korea lives.  They call it the Blue House (like we call ours the Whitehouse.)

Alex got to meet with his former mission president, President Lee, for a few minutes.  Alex says this man always had this exact smile on his face, his entire mission.  He loves him.

In the late afternoon we took a train down to Ulsan to begin touring Andrew's mission. After arriving we took a cab to our hotel and finally arrived, utterly exhausted, sometime after midnight.
